Product of the Week
Being as this is my first post, let me explain what this blog is all about. Each week I will post a new product, give some of the product details, and some uses for each product.
Today I am going to tell you about the carpeted furniture dolly. The furniture dolly is generally used to move your heavier items without having to actually carry them. The good thing about having one on hand at all times is if you want to move say, a china cabinet, across the room. You put it on the furniture dolly, and boom, you can wheel it where ever you want. If you can’t decide where you want it, leave it on the dolly. A few things you can use a furniture dolly for are, moving file cabinets, book shelves, entertainment centers, and bedroom furniture. Most furniture dollies are rated to carry loads that you would not be able to lift, so don’t worry about them collapsing on you.
The bad thing about furniture dollies is that it is hard to go over a door threshold. If you encounter this problem, I recommend hand carrying the item through the door, and putting it back on the dolly after you are through the door. Most interior doors do not have thresholds, so you can wheel it anywhere throughout the house.
Being as it is made of wood, and covered with carpet, it will not scratch your furniture. The carpeted wood dolly is very inexpensive for the use you will get out of it, so you may want to have more than one on hand at all times.
